Ephemeral Kisses, Eternal Embraces
When you don't want that 'hi' to ever become 'goodbye'

From the devastating power of a simple "hi" to the conscious choice to paint shared tomorrows together, this collection explores how vulnerability becomes strength, how fleeting moments can stretch into volumes of mutually lived affection, and how people can choose to build something beautiful from the ephemeral magic of first attraction.
This is love before the heartbreak. I guess you could say, this is love the way it should be.
Hi
In a moment he froze and pondered.
"Where did my strength go?"
"Do my charisma and confidence fail me?"
"Has my spirit abandoned me?"
She had only said "hi",
and without even trying
with one word she hit
his Achilles heel.
Is it flirting?
Is it flirting?
I speak with unfiltered honesty;
or perhaps, I see the novelty…
the stars aligned just perfectly,
and this voice, this teasing melody?
mere words you drenched with poetry.
Hear me, bless me
Hear my wish,
be my genie,
lead my every chapter,
compose my play
and score the scenery.
Bless my ear,
my soprano,
voice my bliss, my rapture
become my life's
ambient melody.
Yesterday's shadows
He didn't forget;
he learned to regard
her yesterdays as shadows.
He then took a step,
they painted her dark past
with glow from their tomorrows.
Perhaps the most radical act in love isn't the grand gesture but the quiet choice to stay, a choice that, if we’re honest, might be the most difficult to make and certainly, the most difficult to keep over time. It’s the choice to move beyond the intoxication of initial attraction and into the more complex, but also more rewarding territory of building something together.
I'd love to hear which of these pieces resonates most with you. Have you experienced that moment when ephemeral attraction crystallized into something you knew could last? What does it feel like to choose love actively rather than just fall into it?
Thank you for exploring this gentler territory with me. Next week's collection will shift toward a more complex examination of language and deception.
