Music, huh? What’s not to love about music?
I don’t think I can say more about music than what Andrea Bocelli already said in this masterpiece of a song, but what I can do is use music as inspiration for a love story.
So I did. This poem explores music as a sensory experience, the shared type of sensory experience that occurs when bodies become rhyme.
I’ll leave you with the lyrics, and you can add the music yourself 😉.
Feel the music
Overture:
Our breaths,
a sustained
rhythmic caress
on brushing lips,
inviting
rhapsody.
Sonata:
Bodies moving swiftly,
building a crescendo
of notes licked on skin pecked,
a consistent percussion,
opening for the bridge,
advancing movements,
now the chorus hits,
our wailing voices,
baritone and soprano,
operatically dueling,
climactically duetting,
our souls vibrating,
our heartbeats pacing,
our voices howling,
a choir in ecstasy.
Epilogue:
Our breaths,
a sustained
rhythmic caress
on shivering lips,
inviting
harmony.
Encore?

Did you hear the melody? Music, huh?
There's something beautiful about how music and intimacy share the same language—rhythm, crescendo, harmony, the spaces between notes that make the song complete. Both require presence, attention, and the willingness to lose yourself in the moment.
What music moves you? What songs remind you of moments when you felt most alive?

🖤 "a choir in ecstasy"
That was marvelous! I love how you play with the words - as if they are not only lyrics but a love song by itself ❤️
