If recurring themes are the result of recurring feelings, there’s something to say about the recurring themes found in my poetry.
That’s right, the lack of poetry about cats is unacceptable.
Oh, and here’s another poem about heartbreak.
Beautiful Graveyard
And I wrote poetry
for every tear
I never showed you.
My poetry—
my graveyard of tears.
And I wrote poetry
for every word
I never told you.
My poetry—
my graveyard of words.
And I wrote poetry
for every kiss
I never gave you.
My poetry—
my graveyard of kisses.
And I wrote poetry
to give my love
a place to live.
My poetry—
my edifice of love.

Now you know why I write poetry.
What about you?
What have you buried?
What have you built?
Did you miss last week’s collection? I gotchu:
Thank you for reading, for your time, and for being you. 😊
☕ Support My Work
Thank you for reading. If you enjoyed this poem and want to continue supporting my work, why not buy me a coffee?
If coffee is not for you (I get it) then liking, commenting or restacking will also be greatly appreciated.
😊

Oh this was trully stunning. The form was straightforward but the beats so precise, definitely pulled at my heartstrings. The occasional rhyme sneaking through was a quiet delight
killin me with this Carlos:
My poetry—
my graveyard of tears.
