Where some paths lead to love—some lead to heartbreak.
Where some lead to happiness—some lead to misery.
So no matter the path, they all lead to… poetry.
And these four… they keep going—
all the way to the grave.
Poet’s eyes
Maybe I see the world
through a poet’s eyes—
I saw metaphors
and smiled at your lies.
Heavenly
I’m at sixes and sevens—1
found charred walls in your heavens,
anguish instead of blessing,
as your truths start undressing.
One more word
Don’t know what to say?
I gave you the first three words—
all you had to add was: “too”...

The gravestone
Here lies love—
with my name
on the grave.
A murder—
the weapon:
your lies, love.
— Cae Rivas —
I saw the metaphors.
I smiled at the lies.
I tore the walls down.
I’d do it all again—
I rather live as a poet with a scarred heart
than as a heart without poetry.
Lovely lies or gravely lies—which hurt worse?
And would you do it all again?
If you liked this collection and one to read another poem, I gotcha:

“At sixes and sevens” is a phrase meaning in a state of total confusion or disarray. It’s not a reference to the meme. 🙄

Devastatingly beautiful poems Sir Carlos ❤️💔
