We already explored love as music, but what happens when love transcends art forms?
This poem explores just that—when love transcends the physical and the metaphysical, blending the senses, merging the arts, and marrying the souls.
But I'm just the alchemist; you be the witness.
Synesthetic communion
We've met and fallen in love
in verses written and sung,
synesthetic communion
delivered from tongue to tongue.
Our story spreading in scenes
both improvised and rehearsed,
sometimes just playing our roles,
sometimes playing them reversed.
Piano to fortissimo
on stage and behind curtains,
as our voices intertwine
our closing duet is certain.
The alchemy created—
sensually quintessential,
as we merge in art and heart,
our life grows coessential.
Pursuing our souls note to note,
as they read, they touch, they feel,
and then kiss goodbye again,
the end fictional... and real.

I believe the most powerful connections can't be contained within a single sense, a single art form, or even a single reality, instead they spill across boundaries, creating something entirely new.
Or at least, I want to believe as much.

This is beautiful. It has a steady lyrical flow that's so satisfying. My favorite lines are the ones about art and heart and being coessential. I also like the little blurb in the before and after the poem. You've clearly got formatting here down and I'm jealous.
Beautifully woven, your words move across senses the way music moves through air. Well done!
